A recent accepting quality of me, dyslexia. I’ve recently found the positive sides of being Dyslexic, and taken the time to understand the way my brain works. I’m so happy to be apart of this gig, looking forward to th other acts also.
Following from last year’s fantastic launch Great Minds Think Different is back. During the past month we have been exhibiting film, art installations and having conversations all celebrating the creativity, skills & enterprise of people with dyslexia and neurodiversity. On the 8th of November we will be bringing it to a close and celebrating with a party! It will feature award-winning novelist and avid spokesperson for dyslexia Sally Gardner!
We want to transform the conversation surrounding dyslexia, challenge the broken systems and misconceptions in order to reflect the incredible work that’s being done by dyslexic and neurodiverse people in the UK. If you want to be part of it, come down and get involved. It is presented by Exceptional Individuals, the first dyslexic employment agency, as seen on TV.
On the night we’ll have: poetry from Sally Gardner art from Rosie Jenner, the debut screening of our short film for the project, Nat Hawley leading a fresh conversation about changing perspectives and services in dyslexia, plus a live set from the brilliant Julia Gray who reads music in colour, and dyspraxic comedian Don Biswas!
For anyone with an idea for a social enterprise, or who wants to take their business to the next level, we also have a competition for the chance to win 6 months mentoring to give to a project, and you can apply on the night.
What’s MORE is that we’re going to have great drinks on the bar, comedy and some exciting news.
We only have 150 tickets available so please register asap if you’re interested.
